Manchester City are attempting to beat Bayern Munich to the signing of Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz this summer.

Wirtz has been a target for a number of teams across Europe after impressing for Leverkusen, who won the double last season.
Bayern Munich have been the โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที favourites to land the 22-year-old in recent weeks, with several German outlets reporting that the Bavarians have already agreed a deal and are ready to offer around €100m this summer.
The Bundesliga champions remain the biggest threat to City for Wirtz and Real Madrid – set to appoint Xabi Alonso as their coach – could also come into the mix, yet the talks in Manchester represent a major boost for the Blues following indications that the race was over. City will keep pushing hard to secure one of their priority targets for the summer.
However, City, who want Wirtz to replace Kevin De Bruyne, are not giving up and are looking to hijack Bayern and will try their best as long as the German international does not officially sign with the Bavarians.
Wirtz’s parents travelled to Manchester to meet with City executives on Tuesday. But are believed not to have met with manager Pep Guardiola.
Leverkusen and Man City have a good relationship and are ready to negotiate terms over a future move for Wirtz to return to Leverkusen.
Manchester City could also use James McAtee as part of a bid for Wirtz.
